Movie in a Book

When I read there's a movie
that forms before my eyes.
I can see the big screen.
It's such a great surprise.
My eyes pass over words,
and yet I am not reading.
These words, I can recite them,
but it's the pictures that are leading.
When it's a horror book I'm reading,
the monsters I truly fear.
When someone's crying in my movie,
you'll see me shed a tear.
My sister thinks it's silly.
Says it's kind of weird.
I shrug my shoulder and shake my head,
because it's she who's wrongly steered.
No one else can see
what I see in my books.
Then again, I'm thinking,
maybe no one really looks.
